The Good Neighbours Coastal Car Scheme provides door to door transport for those who are either retired, have some form of disability or who have difficulty using other forms of transport.  The scheme involves volunteer drivers using their own cars.

We offer this in addition to our Dial A Ride service and is primarily for those longer journeys such as hospital or medical trips further afield.

If you are not sure if you are eligible, please contact us and we will be happy to help you. 

There is a mileage charge for using the scheme to cover the driver's costs for running the car.  This fare will be calculated by our booking officer when we have found you a driver. 

This scheme is not part of the Health Authority or Social Services and is run in partnership with Whitby Good Neighbours Community Transport .
